We designed this deck around the idea of creating a true outdoor living room—something that felt comfortable, grounded, and ready for conversation. The sunken lounge area is the heart of the space, giving it a cozy, enclosed feel while still being completely open to the elements. Around the central seating zone, we built in functional elements like overhead coverage, planter boxes, and a nearby bar and prep space for easy entertaining. The layered levels help break up the space visually and practically, giving each area its own purpose without feeling segmented. It’s a space made for everything from quiet evenings to full house parties.
