The Stone Deck

The Stone Deck was all about working with texture and weight to give the outdoor space a sense of permanence and calm. The homeowners wanted something that felt grounded—literally—so we leaned into materials like natural stone, cedar, and iron accents. We designed a raised deck area to anchor a hot tub at the heart of the layout, wrapped in custom stonework that blends seamlessly into the rest of the patio. Built-in seating lines the deck for casual lounging, while overhead, we added layered pergola structures to control light and define zones without fully enclosing the space. The entire design invites year-round use, with durable materials and strategic sightlines that preserve privacy in a suburban setting. This was one of those builds where the challenge was to make the structure feel like it had always been there—and that’s exactly what we achieved. It's a custom stone deck project where form, function, and flow all came together naturally.
