About the Project
This octagon-shaped deck gave us a chance to play with symmetry while solving a few functional challenges. Raised from the yard with intentional elevation, the platform creates visual interest and defines the space without needing a full enclosure. We anchored the layout with a white pergola and custom privacy screens, giving the central dining area a sense of separation while still feeling open to the yard. Integrated stairs and clean sightlines make this a seamless extension of the home—perfect for relaxed dinners or larger gatherings.
