The Fearless Fred Deck

For this project, we set out to create a backyard deck that could keep up with a fearless homeowner who wanted it all—style, comfort, and serious function. With the pool as the centrepiece, we layered the space vertically using a series of steps and platforms to naturally separate lounging, cooking, and spa zones without losing that open-concept feeling. We incorporated a sleek pergola with angled beams to create shade over the main seating area, then added built-in privacy panels and landscaping for added seclusion without sacrificing airiness. The integrated hot tub deck and sun loungers make this space equally perfect for energetic gatherings or slow mornings by the water. This deck became more than just a place to hang out—it’s now the go-to zone for family life, summer parties, and peaceful escapes alike. We’re proud of how it balances bold design with everyday livability.
